Cargill's Response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Global Pandemic
Cargill is committed to helping the world thrive.
Cargill creates connections across the global food system to help the world thrive. We link farmers to markets, customers with sustainable nutrition solutions, and nourish the world.
About Cargill
Cargill helps the world’s food system work for you. We connect farmers with markets, customers with ingredients and families with daily essentials—from the foods they eat to the floors they walk on. Our 160,000-plus team members around the world innovate with purpose, empowering our partners and communities as we work to nourish the world in a safe, responsible, sustainable way.
From feed that reduces methane emissions to waste-based renewable fuels, the possibilities are boundless. But our values remain the same. We put people first. We reach higher. We do the right thing. It’s how we’ve met the needs of the people we call neighbors and the planet we call home for 158 years—and how we’ll do so for generations to come. Norwegian Transparency Act
As outlined in our Commitment on Human Rights, Cargill respects internationally recognized human rights throughout our own operations, supply chains and the communities where we do business. We take guidance from international standards and declarations, including the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), the International Bill of Human Rights and the International Labor Organization Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. As a signatory company of the United Nations Global Compact, we also are committed to promoting human rights. In accordance with these frameworks, we undertake due diligence and risk assessments, and take action to remedy issues where identified in our workplaces, supply chains and extended communities.
We expect our suppliers to do the same and our expectations for our suppliers are outlined in Cargill’s Supplier Code of Conduct. In accordance with the Norwegian Transparency Act (Lov om virksomheters åpenhet og arbeid med grunnleggende menneskerettigheter og anstendige arbeidsforhold) that came into effect on 1 July, 2022, Cargill also has a Sourcing Policy for Cargill Animal Nutrition and Health in place for its suppliers in Norway. Additional information will be published later this year, in accordance with the Act.
